Position Overview

The Vice President position is part of a Business Development team. This is a senior leadership role in the Strategy area of the Business Development team. The role includes multiple responsibilities relating to key areas of the business.

  • Lead execution of strategic M&A transactions, including evaluation of incoming opportunities, financial and business diligence, deal structuring and transaction documentation
  • Manage and support business strategy and strategic planning efforts, in partnership with the senior business leaders across the firm, through detailed analysis (market, competitor, product), design of strategic frameworks and development of presentations
  • Assist in developing new business relationships / strategic partnerships, including identification, evaluation and structuring
  • Support expansions of the business into adjacent markets, products, distribution channels with in-depth strategic and financial analysis
  • Lead the efforts of teams across the firm (risk, investment, actuarial, finance, legal, compliance, etc.) to analyze impact of strategic transactions or initiatives
  • Liaise with banks and other institutions on a regular basis to develop the firm’s external relationships
 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required with outstanding academic record and high level of personal integrity
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, preferably with prior experience in investment banking or strategy consulting
  • Strong analytical / quantitative and technical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Significant leadership, initiative and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Flexible individuals who are both creative and commercial and are comfortable managing multiple work streams and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
